Vincent Cortez is a Latino filmmaker who creates compelling "human" stories - with topics ranging from race, class and identity - that show the triumph of communities and individuals united for progress and justice.
Since graduating from SFSU’s Cinema Program and launching his own production company (Mitchell Street Pictures), Vincent has collaborated on various short format documentary projects and branded/promotional content for a myriad of client's ranging from Google to the Marin County Probation Department. These projects highlight community, diversity, growth and positive changes.
In addition to this, Vincent has also written and directed narrative film projects that highlight protagonists of color. He is known for executing high concepts on various budgets while leading his team through demanding schedules and pulling the "human" components of the story to the forefront.
